Bush Hogging in Franklin Parish, LA

Fields, lots, fence lines, ditches, and acreage cut back and reclaimed from the brush.

When a field, lot, or fence line grows up, it takes more than a mower. Bird & Bear runs a bush hog across Franklin Parish and the surrounding Northeast Louisiana parishes — reclaiming pastures, vacant lots, ditches, and acreage that have gotten away.

It’s some of our favorite work, and it’s especially busy before hunting season: clearing shooting lanes, cutting back lease roads and fence lines, and getting land ready. However much ground you’ve got, give us a call and we’ll come take a look.

Frequently asked questions

How much land can you bush hog?

Anything from a single overgrown lot to multiple acres. Tell us roughly how much ground and how thick it's grown when you call, and we'll give you a free quote.

How often does a field need to be bush hogged?

It depends on the land and your goals. Once or twice a season keeps most fields and pastures in good shape; overgrown ground may need an initial knock-down and then regular maintenance.

Can you cut land that's gotten really thick or brushy?

Usually, yes — that's what bush hogging is for. For very heavy brush or saplings we'll take a look and let you know honestly what we can do in one pass versus what it'll take.

Do you maintain deer leases and food-plot lanes?

We do. Clearing lanes, fence lines, and lease roads is regular work for us, and we can knock back fields before hunting season. We also handle food-plot prep — see our Garden Prep & Food Plots service.
